About Me

I am a college student at the University of Texas at El Paso, for my English 1311 course I have made a blog detailing the progress I will make through the class in the education of critical writing and reading in a professional manner for the career I will want to eventually partake in. This class focuses specifically on discourse communities in life and on the web that pertain to my specific field of study; the teaching of physics to High School students. I hope to discover new and exciting ways to get students to want to learn about physics.
Not enough people want to teach science or math related subject, so schools are pathetically under stocked in science and math teachers, this is partially because of an absence of stimulation in society on math and science subjects. I want to focus on the issue of the appalling lack of mathematics and science departments in the schools of young students. How can we hope to further our understanding of the physical world if at a young age there is no one to teach us about its wonders and generate interests in its practical usage?
Over the semester I will be outlining my progress to my goal as a physics teacher in either the EPISD or other school districts in other counties and states, and how society affects my subject of interest.
